Plant a Dream and Let it Grow

Dreams

All people dream, but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
Wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.

But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people,
For they dream their dreams with open eyes,
And make them come true.

D.H. Lawrence (1885 – 1930)

Although I did post a partially finished version of this painting several months ago, I never got around to photographing it after it was done until recently. It hangs above our bed, and reminds me daily the importance of those waking dreams. Mine seem to swirl around a few insistent ideas, growing stronger all the time, and little by little, they begin to come true.

What daydreams have you brought to reality? I’d love to know!
